Founded in 2009, BE Dance Studios is a nonprofit arts organization.

The vision of BE Dance Studios was to foster inclusivity and diversity within the professional dance world by providing exposure and quality dance education to communities of color.

Over the years, BE Dance Studios’ mission has evolved to using dance as the vehicle by which individuals discover, acknowledge and accept themselves and others. In support of its mission, BE Dance Studios has hosted programs such as the Brown Ballerina Empowerment Summit, held community access performances of The Nutcracker: Swingin’ & All Jazzed Up, provided scholarships for graduating High School Seniors, hosted service events in partnership with Feeding America and the Salvation Army, as well as been a safe space for students, families and partners to engage and connect.

Today, BE Dance Studios continues to facilitate remarkable dance education and present outstanding performances, programs and events, allowing students and audiences to experience the wonder of learning, growing, creating, connecting and collaboration.
